Get to know the Mojave Chief who made the headstones.

The interpretive center introduces visitors to the ancient art of carving in stone.  The history of the last Mojave Chief and his role in sculpting the stone seen in the cemetery is highlighted at the museum.

Local Native American stone tool manufacturing -- the earliest lithic industries are represented from the Gulf of California north to Needles.  See examples here.

Gate to the Historic Cemetery

Your tour will not be complete without a trip to "Doc & Doodie's" back yard for a view of the cemetery.   Access to the cemetery is currently being negotiated.
